Yurie
Dental HygienistYurie is a registered dental hygienist in both Australia and Japan. She has also worked in both New Zealand and the UK as a dental nurse and was a registered dental nurse in the UK.
Yurie immigrated with her husband to Australia in 2013 and completed her exams to become a Dental Hygienist through the Australian Dental Council in 2015. She has been registered as a Dental Hygienist since 2016.
Kim
Oral Health TherapistKim has a very easy going and positive attitude towards helping others feel confident with their smile. Previously to completing her bachelor degree in Oral Health Therapy at La Trobe University, Kim worked as a dental assistant in a very busy Orthodontic practice for 5 years! Kim has an undeniable passion for working in Orthodontics and will do her best to assist you with all your dental and orthodontic needs.
She likes to make sure her patients are comfortable and relaxed while helping them see the value in looking after their teeth. Kim likes to spend time outdoors - fishing and camping are some of her favourite things to do. On quiet weekends, she loves nothing more than to cook for her family and friends.
Esther
Oral Health Therapist (On Maternity Leave)Esther completed her Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Melbourne. She has worked both publicly and privately but has always had a strong passion for orthodontics.
Esther is committed to making sure your visits are always pleasurable and relaxing. She enjoys being a part of the process of creating your beautiful smile and seeing the delighted expressions at the end of treatment!
Nattaya
Oral Health Therapist (On Maternity Leave)Nattaya joined Modern Orthodontics as an Oral Health Therapist in 2022
She completed her Bachelor of Oral Health in 2013 at The University of Melbourne on the Dean’s Honours List. Since graduating, Nattaya has worked in community dental health and early orthodontics utilising skills in both hygiene and therapy.

She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, heard, and cared for throughout their dental experience. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys cafe hopping and discovering new pastry spots around Melbourne!

Yurie joined Modern Orthodontics in December 2017. You will see her taking records of your teeth, placing attachments for aligner treatment and removing braces for you under orthodontists' instruction, checking your retainers and teaching you how to brush your teeth, etc.
Yurie loves seeing people leave with a confident smile on their face when the treatment is completed.
Outside of work, she enjoys watching movies and finding good cafes. She is also a mother of 2 boys that keep her busy!
Kim

She completed her Bachelor of Oral Health in 2013 at The University of Melbourne on the Dean’s Honours List. Since graduating, Nattaya has worked in community dental health and early orthodontics utilising skills in both hygiene and therapy.
She is highly experienced, has a gentle approach and strives to make every dental visit a positive and enjoyable experience for all. Her interest in orthodontics and her motivation to expand her dental knowledge is what led her to Modern Orthodontics. So far, it has been very rewarding for her to see the journey of each patient throughout treatment and seeing how happy they are at the end with their new smiles.
